We offer a traditional and an organic control product for all services that we provide. Below you will find information on the difference with each product, depending on which services you are looking to receive.

Regardless of which product is used, the same precautionary steps must be taken. All persons and animals must remain out of the treatment area during the application, as well as staying off/out of the treated area until completely dry.  Average dry times range from 30 minutes up to 2 hours after application depending on the weather conditions. We advise to always avoid the treatment area for 2 hours to ensure the product has fully dried.

Tick Control

The efficacy of the two products are equally the same, along with the price per application. The difference between the two products is the residual effect that they have after the application. Each application lasts roughly 6 weeks with the traditional product, and roughly 4 weeks with the organic product. Tick Control can also be combined with Mosquito Control and is applied at the same time.

Mosquito Control

The efficacy of the two products are very similar, with the traditional giving slightly better results. The price per application still stays the same. With the traditional product, most properties recieve 95%-100% control of all mosquito activity. With the organic product, properties recieve 90%-95% control of all mosquito activity. The difference between the two products is the residual effect that they have after the application. Each application lasts roughly 3 weeks with the traditional product, and roughly 2 weeks with the organic product. Mosquito Control can also be combined with Tick Control and is applied at the same time.

Brown Tail Moth Control

The efficacy of the two products are equally the same, along with the price per application. The only difference between the two products is that the traditional product has strict regulations on treating anywhere near water.

Vegetation Control (Driveways, Patios, Riprap, Mulch Beds, Etc..)

This service uses non-selective herbicides, meaning no desirable vegetation can be close by, as these products will kill off any vegetation that is comes in contact with. There is one major, but very important difference in how the traditional and the organic non-selective herbicides work. The traditional product is an herbicide that gets absorbed into the leaves, translocated through the plant via its water system, and in 7-14 days the entire plant system (roots included) will wilt and die off. The organic product on the other hand is an herbicidal soap that strips the waxy coating of the plant causing it to rapidly dehydrate and within 1-4 hours you will see wilting and within 24 hours any part of the vegetation that was treated will be killed off. The organic product does not translocate throughout the plant, meaning only what is above ground and treated will die off and is likely to grow back.

Weed Control (Lawn Weeds)

This service uses selective herbicides to control undesired plants in the lawn without destroying the surrounding grass. There is a couple of differences between the traditional and the organic products. The biggest difference is the same as the vegetation control, in that the traditional product is translocated and kills off the entire plant and the organic only kills the part of the plant that is treated. Another difference is that the organic product will only control broadleaf weeds (clover, dandelion, plantain, etc..) where the traditional products can control almost any undesired weeds (crabgrass included!) The last difference is that the organic product is chelated iron. The iron is bound to a chelating agent that keeps it soluble and readily available for plant uptake.  Broadleaf weeds absorb chelated iron easily and in larger quantities than grass which leads to cellular damage (cell necrosis) and ultimate plant death. The organic product works quickly and results are visible the same day; dying weeds will be seen within hours of application. Treated weeds, algae and moss will turn brown or black. Occasionally a darkening of the grass leaf blades can occur after treatment; however, the grass will recover within a few days to weeks
